Skulls, Skeletons and Archaeology
From A Level through my first year of university, I concentrated heavily on archaeology, particularly on skulls and skeletons. During my A Levels, I focused on still life photography, which led me to produce charcoal drawings and paintings. In my first year of university, I rediscovered my passion for archaeology, emphasizing the connections I could create between two non-gendered human figures using oil paint.

Landscapes
During my A Levels, I not only focused on studying and developing my practice but also concentrated on landscapes. I primarily used references from the UK's east coast, particularly Flamborough. Initially, I worked with acrylic paint on paper as well as charcoal. For my final piece, I chose to use acrylic paint.

Childhood
I wanted to emphasize the significance of childhood innocence and how a nurturing family can profoundly impact one's personality and development. My childhood was filled with happiness, and while this may not be the case for everyone, I aim to evoke nostalgia and highlight the importance of a positive upbringing through my paintings.I believe that we, as artists, use our inner child's imagination to create our work. Bearing this in mind, I explore the importance of family in a child's life by incorporating myself as the main subject in my paintings.
